Can't decide where to stay with kids!

We have never been to Myrtle Beach as a family with kids. We have a 8 yr old, a 4 yr old, a 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. A friend of ours recommended Ocean Creek, but I wasn%26#39;t sure if there is something more closer to the Pavilion - or is the pavilion not for little kids? Please help.. this is our first trip to Myrtle Beach.

Can't decide where to stay with kids!

Check out Seawatch. We stayed there last year when our kids were 1 and 3 and loved it.

It was not near the pavillion but that ment it was not in the middle of a huge traffic jam every night.

The best place to find a condo is VRBO.com you rent straight from the owners and save a bundle. You get to see pics of the exact unit you are renting.

This year we have decided to stay at Barefoot resort North Tower because if its pool. Its not ocean front but wow you save a ton staying off the beach.

Good luck you will love Barefoot landing and Broadway at the beach. Make sure you go when the fireworks are the kids love it.

Thank you for your opinion. We are planning to go the last week of July or first week in August.

I%26#39;m not real familiar with the attractions and where everything is. I just want to be oceanfront cause our kids will love it. But I want more to do than that cause they will burn up being at the beach all the time. I want a family friendly place with not alot of the teenage/young crowd. We%26#39;ll face that in a few years when our kids are in that phase!

Thanks a bunch

Sea Watch is very nice and you kids would enjoy it even more in 3-4 years. I%26#39;ve stayed there about 6 times.

Okay I%26#39;ve checked out Seawatch and like it alot and then I also checked out Long Bay Resort, Caravelle, Ocean Creek, %26amp; Beach Cove. I like them all. Does anyone know the differences and what to expect in all of them?

I think I would opt with the area where Long Bay and Caravelle are. Another property in that area is the Sand Dunes (77th Ave N)...they just put in this amazing water park for little tykes...its great! Makes me wish I was young again! Another nice thing is that this area isnt a bad drive to the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or Barefoot Landing. The beach in this area is nice and wide, well attended by a great lifeguard staff, and very safe. Have a fun time with the kids! :)

Thank all you nice people for your suggestions! Greatly appreciated. We%26#39;re hoping to make Myrtle Beach a traditional summer vacation for us and our kids. My husband%26#39;s tradition is a winter vacation to Lake Tahoe. But I love the beach and the hot weather!!!

Thanks again.

Long Bay is very nice, and the Sand Dunes which is next door is very nice as well. I have actually stayed at the Sand Dunes once and another of their properties as well. They have several. The rooms are nice size and offer separate bedroom / living spaces. Last year, we rented a condo through condolux.net and stayed in North Myrtle Bach. It was great. With kids, I would suggest North Myrtle Beach over the Pavillion area, as the Pavillion area is WAY CRAZY with traffic. Have a great time.
