I grew up in SC and went to Myrtle beach at least once a year, now i%26#39;m returning with my boyfriend in tow. He%26#39;s never been to myrtle beach and i would really like to show him the older parts of it. While the big hotels are really cool, I%26#39;m more interested in staying in one of the smaller dumpier motels. That being said, is there one that is nice-ish (i don%26#39;t want to stay with bugs and such). I am looking at the Waikiki Village, but just realized it%26#39;s not on the beach...
Any ideas?
Where to stya????
Try the Beachcomber Inn %26amp; Suites. 800-262-2113. It is a smaller hotel, nothing fancy but definately clean!

Cherry Tree Inn on 54th in the northern section of Myrtle Beach.

Yep...The Cherry Tree or even the Mariner (across the street from the beach at 70th N. ) I would suggest the Aloha...but it just bit the dust less than two months ago..Another one just came to mind, The Pier View (on 2nd Ave) not much to look at...but clean, and the balconies are great! Nice that you want to show him the older aspects of the beach!
