I just bought a timeshare at the Sheraton Broadway...

I was on Ebay and got a terrific deal on this 2 bdrm timeshare. I have never been to Myrtle Beach, but my husband and I love to golf.

I realize this timeshare is not on the beach, and I was hoping that I didn%26#39;t make a mistake in purchasing it? Does anyone know anything about this timeshare?

Thanks

It%26#39;s hard to find anything bad about all the beautiful new properties in such a lovely temperate area as Myrtle Beach. I think I might have spied your property on one of our visits to Broadway at the Beach a few months ago. It%26#39;s right across the street. There%26#39;s always something going on entertainment-wise and restaurant-wise at Broadway at the Beach for evening activities. Myrtle Beach is fabulous for golf and sooo popular. We bought our home in central Virginia from someone building a home inland a bit from Myrtle Beach and many many friends have condos there or built homes there to retire to. These people are serious golfers and just love it there.

One could probably stay there for months and not do everything there is offered.

Did you check out: starwoodvo.com/resorts/welcome.jsp?resortID=8

There are lovely photos, map and directions and even a link to click on so you can see the recent construction photos.

You%26#39;ll be just a mile from the beach too...not bad at all.

By the way, May has bike fests, in particular on over Memorial Weekend which is very very busy so you might type in bike week in the little search box at the top of the topics here and look at those posts.

Have a great time!

Beautiful property and constantly growing! Seems like the timeshare industry here just really has taken off. The Sheraton Broadway is within walking distance to Broadway at the Beach (www.broadwayatthebeach.com), and as far as the beach, maybe 2 miles. For golf, you are really close to Myrtlewood (2 courses) and the Granddaddy ---Pine Lakes.

Any property purchases in this area are not a mistake! Its booming!

My husband and I bought a 2 bedroom unit there 6 years ago and we absolutly love it. So much so, that we have bought an additional week that we can use to go to the other resorts.

We have spent every year there and always find it very relaxing and fun. There are plenty of things to do in the area and as resort owners you will be able to get discounted tickets for many of the attractions including golf packages.

You have made a very wise decision. The resort is kept up and the staff has always been pleasant.

Enjoy

Thank you all for your feedback. My husband and I are looking forward to our first trip to Myrtle Beach.

After reading your replies, and checking further into the Sheraton, we feel good about our purchase.

Trip Advisor has been a great source of information on Myrtle Beach. I will continue to do my research since I still need to find out much about the area.

Thanks again for your help, and happy vactioning to all.

We will be here the last week of April %26amp; hope we will be happy. As we usually trade the week we own here in Ontario for a week in the Caribbean so it will be a big change for us.

Hubby %26amp; son-in-law are hoping to get in 2-3 rounds of golf. Can anyone recommend a couple of good (not too expensive) courses %26amp; give their input as to whether they should book now????

I think you%26#39;ll enjoy your week!

Spot, you might type in the little search box just about the posts....golf courses and click go. It will bring up several posts from others re golf courses they have enjoyed.

Thanks explorer3....I had forgotten about the search option....just checked it out....

Congratulations!! I will be exchanging into a 2br in May and looking forward to it. You may want to check into 2 different forums. The first one is TUG. (Timeshare Users Group) Since you are new to ts you can ask questions and most importantly check out the reviews. It cost $15 a year but will be the best $15 you ever spent. If you would like to tell them you heard about it from me I will get 6 more mos to my membership. Everyone there knows me as Shaggy / or Shagnut. Now guess where I got that name from? Yes, shagging at MB. www.tug2.net The 2nd is www.timeshareforums.com This one is free and most of us are active in both. Feel free to ask questions on both forums. If you like to write about your travels there is a forum called Share you memories with Shaggy (Guess who) Enjoy MB. Absolutely everone has written good things about this ts. Shaggy

I forgot to mention that I would not know what to do without this forum as well as the other 2. So many of us tuggers are part of this forum as well. Traveling has been the best part of my life and it never grows old. shaggy
