we are planning on a trip to MB (or north myrtle--havent decided yet) on april 13-16 and are having trouble finding the best resort. we have 2 teenage daughters (age 15) and they want to be in the middle of all the action as well as ocean front. we are hoping to keep it under 100 a night for a hotel because we will have 2 rooms (or maybe a 2br suite?) whats the best resort for the price, thats in a good area?
trouble choosing resort
You can get a 1 bedroom oceanview at Forest Dunes for under $600.They have a private bedroom with 1 and a 1/2 bath. The girls would have to share a sleeper sofa.Great views from the 6th floor on up. The units are 750 sq. ft. and have full size refrigerators and ovens.Do not get the oceanfront unless you want to share the only bathroom which can only be reached by going thru the bedroom.
F.D. is in a great central location. Some good restaurants within a few miles are Villa Mare,Carolina Roadhouse,Bonefish Grille, and Martins.Broadway AtThe Beach is 4 miles away and Barefoot Landing is about 8 miles north.

I%26#39;m sure Forest Dunes is a nice place but you said your daughters wanted close to the action and there isn%26#39;t much action at F.D.
You also have to cross a road to get to the beach so in my opinion it is not a true oceanfront.
If you stay to close to the pavilion you will worry yourself sick about your girls at night. There are a lot of things to do there but I wouldn%26#39;t want my kids going there at night by themselves.
If you can find a place that has a unit that is oceanfront and also street front you can stand on your balcony and see all kinds of action.
You might try the Roxanne Towers.
I would suggest the Yachtsman because of the area and that there is a pier there but I have heard that there is a lot of construction going on there.
try sandy beach resort(magnolia building) close to action(but not too close), across from family kingdom (the more mellow amusement park) and almost next door to water park.all rooms oceanfront and have kitchens. www.beachtrips.com
