Myrtle in April

16 of us are heading to Myrtle Beach the 1st week in April for a golf getaway...staying at Grand Shores...any opinions on our housing?...next looking for the local favorites for dinner. any suggestions?

Myrtle in April

Love the area that Grande Shores is in! The beach in that area is one of the best. Grande Shores is to the north end of the group of hotels in that area. They are a fairly new property, nice rooms, great balconies. I think you%26#39;ll like it there.

Dinner options

less than 3 miles from resort:

River City Cafe (burgers/sandwiches)

Liberty Tap Room %26amp; Grille(local golf hangout)

City Bar (tapas/late nite)

Villa Mare (great Italian)

Collector%26#39;s (more upscale/great desserts)

Villa Katrina%26#39;s (upscale Tex-Mex)

Palms Bistro (upscale/good late night)

Cheeseburger in Paradise (Buffet themed/good entertainment)

Bonefish Grill (great seafood)

Caraba%26#39;s (Italian)

Fiesta Mexicana (great Mexican!)

Garcia%26#39;s (great Tex-Mex)

Other GREAT places:

Anywhere in Murrells Inlet! Great Seafood, Great entertainment --- need to plan at least one evening to head down that way and sample some really great local flavour! Only a 20 - 30 minute drive! And well worth it!

Little River --- another great local place is Crab Catchers! Great local catches...and the fish fry is fantastic! Plus you can set on the outdoor deck and watch the action on the waterway or listen to the entertainment...and the owners are from up that way, Wisconsin! Ask for Tim or Tony when you go in!

There are sooooo many restaurants here in the area...these are just a few! There is another thread on this forum you may want to check out that lists a number of restaurants!

Have fun! Sitting across from the Grande Dunes Golf Course as I write this! Greens are looking good! Its sunny, about 70, with a pretty good breeze from the south! (Just had to write that! :) )
