Crescent Keyes

We are looking into a family vacation next summer- possibly staying at Crescent Keyes. There will be 6 adults and 3 children (all 3 and under). We have not been to the Myrtle Beach area for several years. We don%26#39;t want to stay anywhere too commercialized, as the children are quite young. However, we don%26#39;t want to be far away from grocery shopping, retaurants, etc.

Our biggest interests are a nice beach and pools and good places to eat. Could anyone offer any feedback on Crescent Keyes? Are there any other locations that would better fit what we are looking for in a vacation? I appreciate any feedback anyone can offer!

Crescent Keyes

Great new condo - Great Location in North Myrtle Beach. Close to all major attractions and golf courses. You may want to check out the Vaction Rental By Owners web site for

the best rates.

Crescent Keyes

Jen,

We stayed at the Crescent Keyes last August and it would be a perfect fit for your needs.

We had (4) adults and (4) young children (4 and under). The condo was brand new and very clean and nicely furnished. EASILY the nicest condo in the immediate area. The pool and lazy rivers were very nice also and they have a kiddie pool too.

We were a little let down with local dining though, never seemed to find any REALLY good places to eat with fresh seafood. We did have a good meal in Calabash, NC, which is about 15 mintues North. North Myrtle has become a lot more commercialized the last several years, with a mini-Daytona feel to it. The beach was typical for the Atlantic, but they groomed it nor cleaned it during the week we were there.

I%26#39;d suggest you try to get to the rental office a little early, for when we got there at 3:00 (check in time), there was a line around the building. Luckily, it only took about 20 minutes to get our keys.

Brad,

Thanks so much for your help. It is much appreciated!

raycerv,

Thanks for the advice. Do you happen to know the web address for the Vacation Rental by Owners?

The website is www.vrbo.com

Hi Jen!

Used to live in North Myrtle and would suggest Marker 350 in Cherry Grove for fine dining where everythign is FRESH (ny husband to be was a sous chef there)-- not a kid friendly restaurant though -- adnthe Sea Merchant Restaurant in North Myrtle -- looks are deceiving -- excellent food and family friendly -- really nice owners -- and not usually long wait --

good luck and have fun! It has been afew years though (we left in 2000)......

Jen,

Did you already find a place to stay?

I highly recommend Crescent Shores as the bedrooms are larger. In the four bedroom units two of the bedrooms accomodate 2 queen beds in each and the other two bedrooms each have a king bed. Still less than 2 years old and very nice amenities. You%26#39;ll notice on VRBO.com that Crescent Shores generally books up quicker than all the other condos-there%26#39;s a reason for that! Mine is listing 63176-you can see June and July are already pretty full.

I think I messed up when I was trying to reply to this message. Sorry if this is a duplicate. My wife and I have been going to Myrtle Beach for the past 28 years. We usually stay at Compass Cove and slide in the week between the Harley and Black bikers. This year we have been asked to go June 3 through the 10 and stay at Crescent Keys. I have been looking at the posting and it looks fine. We will be staying with another couple, their 16 year old son and a friend of his. Are there things that I need to know before we book? We want an ocean front condo and with the boys we obviously need some room. Any hidden fees that we need to know about?

i found the place to be great..we%26#39;d go back
