My husband and I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express for our 2nd anniv. during Memorial Day weekend. We would like to go somewhere really nice for dinner that night. Any suggestions?
Nice Resturant in Isle of Palms
The answer depends on whether you want to stay on the Island or would be willing to go in to Chareston (about 25 minute drive).
On the Isle of Palms, the best restaurant is probably The Boat House on the south end of the island (overlooking Breach Inlet). It will be very busy that weekend, so you MUST get reservations. It can also get a little loud in the main dining room, which may be a turnoff for an anniversery dinner.
If you want something elegant and quiet with food that is almost as good, try the restaurant in the Boardwalk Hotel at the Wild Dunes Resort (I don%26#39;t remember the name, but call any wild dunes resort number and they can tell you and connect you) again- reservations are a must.
You have virtually unlimited options if you want to go into Charleston.
Penninsula Grille is very nice as is Magnolia%26#39;s. For trendy/swanky, try Cypress.
Let me know if you have any specific questions regarding menu offerings. Most of the above have good variety, but also some good local seafood options.
Have a great anniversery and enjoy the IOP. Please be aware that that will be a busy weekend, so traffic on (9-11am) and off (2-4pm) the island may be busy on the Isle of Palms Connector bridge. Remember that you can go South down Sullivan%26#39;s Island as an alternate route.

I would suggest Morgan Creek Grill. It has great food and a view to die for, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and the Marina. It is upscale, but not too expensive. It has a separate bar area if you would like to arrive early and have a drink before dinner. It%26#39;s at 41st Avenue, at the Marina. Happy Anniversary!
