Depends on how white you were when you get there. If it%26#39;s a sunny day on the 15th, you could get badly burnt if your skin isn%26#39;t used to the sun. Then you would stay in for the rest of the week.

Be careful. If the sun is shining, you will tan. Even if it%26#39;s cloudy, you will tan. About all that will keep you from getting one is if it pours down rain everyday....and it might.

What are the chances that it rains in April??? Even the weatherman wouldn%26#39;t dare give you odds on that. I checked out www.weather.com for Myrtle Beach and the average rainfall for April is quite low compared to the other months. Of course, it could dump all of April%26#39;s rain in the one week that you happen to be there. But then, it could also be the only week when it DOESN%26#39;T rain.

Hi, Connecticut, it must have been a northerner who said %26#39;march winds bring April showers and April showers bring May flowers%26#39;. We%26#39;re ahead of that in central Virginia...family%26#39;s up north so I keep up on those things. And I know Myrtle Beach is way ahead of us. You%26#39;ll probably be sad to leave the lovely, sunny, temperate climate when you return north aftr your vacation.

Do you know that the sun can be stronger in the spring? And stronger yet in the south...and stronger still at the beach. So, yes, as the other person said....do wear a good sunscreen the first day. The second, don%26#39;t say, %26#39;I%26#39;m good for a #2 now because I didn%26#39;t burn%26#39;. Only go down a little in number. If that works, a tad more and stay at that. That%26#39;s for tanning in a hurry but I hate to say even that. Now, if you have Irish/English type.....30 all the way for a nice golden tan. Darker skin like some of my friends still start with no less than a 25. And, listen, reapply, reapply, reapply. A very dark skinned friend didn%26#39;t that first day after taking just a quick dip and got a bad burn. As the other person said, that will ruin your trip. Take pure aloe just in case.

Oh, and remember to cover or put lotion on your head and exposed parts of feet. People often forget that. After a few days, you%26#39;ll be fine.
