We are two couples in our 50%26#39;s flying into Savannah,GA, March 30th, flying back home April 7th. Bringing our golf clubs, (but are not serious golfers). We want to stay and see Charleston, Myrtle Beach and spend some time in Savannah before we fly home. My question is, What don%26#39;t I want to miss in these three towns? We%26#39;re from Oregon and have never been to the East coast. I don%26#39;t want to take my friends to places that are just tourist traps. What wouldn%26#39;t you want to miss seeing or doing in one are all three of these historic towns?

The main thing to do or see in Savannah is the Historic District. This is the height of the blooming season. It%26#39;s quite a treat. Take a walk through the center of the District. It%26#39;s about one mile. Maybe take a riding tour. If you have time, go out to Fort Pulaski.
You could spend that entire week in Charleston and Savannah. I would skip Mrytle Beach unless you are going for the golf. The beach is great, but it%26#39;s just one hotel after another. Brookgreen Gardens is a few miles south of Myrtle Beach, so if you do go, try to take it in too. It should be spectacular that time of year.

We are planning our 4th trip to Daufuskie Island. check out daufuskie island resort. You may want to consider a day trip from Savannah there is a ferry. The island is beautiful. Also check out Tybee Island for an afternoon visit.
We absolutely loved Middleton Place Plantation just outside Charleston. We were there last year in early April and the azaleas and gardens were gorgeous!
Plan to spend a good part of the day and do the coach tour around the property which takes you into areas that aren%26#39;t accessible otherwise.
