Visiting in August

You really didnt note where in the area you are looking for accomodations, but for condos, a few suggestions

www.vrbo.com

Booe Realty

Elliott Realty

Most will have photos and map the location where the unit is located.

Some of my favorite courses in the MB area are:

Grande Dunes ($$$)

Pine Lakes ($$)

Myrtlewood ($)

Wild Wing ($$)

Mytle Beach National

A bit further south I love Caledonia! It is a beautiful course!

Check out www.golfholiday.com for course layouts and costs per course. Keep in mind that as golf season approached, prices increase. Season begins in late Feb thru early May. You might also try Myrtle Beach Trips...they have some great golf packages.

Hampton Inn Oceanfront (hamptoninnoceanfront.com) is a beautiful hotel, very clean, great staff and rated #1 in MB. That particular Hampton is actually one of the top 10 in the nation. They have 2 bedroom suites with either 1 bath or 2 that are gorgeous! Please check out their website for pictures and more info. Good luck!

Golf - Try Heather Glen - Glen Dornach

Super courses - reasonable rates - package deals available if you play both

You can get a 3 bedroom unit at Forest Dunes for about the same cost of a 2 bed unit at other hotels.Be sure to specify an A rated unit.Last year in the summer there was a deal for about $155 where you could get Pine Lakes{1/2 mile away],Myrtlewood[ 3miles] and choice of Tidewater[12 miles] or Grande Dunes[4 miles] withcart and green fees.

Moose,

The Caravelle is a good mid level condo property in North Myrtle Beach. You should check them out. Courses in that area include:

Glen Dornoch: upper mid

Farmstead: mid

Barefoot: Premium

Shaftsbury Glen: upper mid

...and so many more.

You may want to check out the following website - this may be where Tonymik saw the multi-play deal. Looks like one of their packages.

www.myrtlebeachtrips.com

They may be able to help out with accomodations too...I know they package with the Mariott, The Marina Inn (opening July) and Myrtlewood Villas. Only the Mariott is ocean front. But you can book their golf packages seperatly.

The Caravelle is actually located at the north end of Myrtle Beach. This can really be confusing for some visiting the area, with even some of our roads named the same in both towns.

We always come in March and when we come, mbgolf.com always has the lowest prices.

I check over 15 websites and shop carefully.

Darren,

You can usually do pretty well with golf prices by talking to any of the golf professionals at the golf/concierge desk at where you are staying. A number of the courses run specials (sometimes at the last minute) that mbgolf may not have time to post...just another option to help save $$

I%26#39;d recommend Grand Strand Resorts @ northmyrtlebeach.com

As for golf, I%26#39;ve played them all except for a couple and I agree with Golf Digest%26#39;s rankings for the most part.
