Thanks for your reply to my Shore Drive post. I have another question for you. We are planning on coming to MB the week of July 8th. Other than Shore Dr. do you know of any other ';family'; areas. We want to stay at a condo that is reasonably priced.

I really like the area between 82nd Ave N and 50th Ave N....its more of a family area, really great beach, and not far from a number of really great restaurants %26amp; some shops. You may want to take a look at Grande Shores, Monteray Bay Suites (really cute, plus they have a great breakfast and a dessert reception in the evening in the price of the condo), Long Bay, Ocean Reef...these all set somewhat together..then there is a bit of a residential area (about 10 blocks) then the Sea Island (really nice and totally renovated, ground up! Think they open May 1), then a bit more residential (2 blocks) then the Ocean Forest, Forest Dunes, The Anchorage (most of these thru www.vrbo.com) and lastly Southwinds (opened fall of last year -- nice!) Guess I prefer this area over the Shore Drive area for 2 reasons...more beach at high tide (and depending on the moon phase it can get pretty high here!) and less traffic issues when trying to go anywhere. Getting off that Shore Drive area can be cumbersome at times. Hope all this helps. Forest Dunes on 55th and Ocean gets my vote.Spacious 1bedroom condos and also 3 bedrooms.

I have been investigating all of the mentioned condos above. Most of the places don%26#39;t have a washer and dryer in the unit. Having 3 kids we really want a place with a washer and dryer in the unit. We don%26#39;t want to spend time at the ';laundry facility'; Does anyone else have any ideas? This is starting to get a little stressful :(

Try www.booerealty.com --- they have a few condos in the Avenues area (The Anchorage, Southwind,) or up in the Shore Drive area (Mainsons ) all of these have washers and dryers in the units. I%26#39;m sure they have an 800 # that you could call and tell them exactly what you need and when you are planning your trip for. I%26#39;ve used them a number of times with family coming to the beach, and they have been wonderful!
