Savannah vacation May '06

My husband and I are planning a vacation the first week in May %26#39;06 - that is if the NW Airline pilots aren%26#39;t on strike!

Any suggestions for must-see and must-do%26#39;s in that time frame?

Also, we were thinking taking a day trip to Charleston - good or bad idea?

Charleston is an easy city to get to from Savannah . I would say drive highway 17 from Savannah , nice route only takes approx 2 hours and you get to see the sites along the way .

when you get to Charleston park along the battery if early enough and then you can walk , to market street vie the market and take a horse drawn tour of Charleston .

This will give you an insight to Charleston with its history .

Both cities are beautiful and have their own must see%26#39;s and do%26#39;s . If you choose not to take the horse tour , its so easy to walk the area and 100 per cent safe enjoy your stay !!!!
