We are looking to get the family together for our parents 50 anniversay for a long weekend probably longer in July sometime. Will have 5 to 6 families needed lodging and kids between ages 6 and 14 to have activities close by to keep them entertain. Parents are from Boston so hot weather isn%26#39;t there favorite but they LOVE water - anything by beach or lake. Would love to hear ideas for a vacation we want to be special for all. Thanks

Seeking a destination for a family vacation to celebrate...How about the state parks. They are beautiful and offer a lot. There is one on semitropical Hunting Island that offers the water, fishing, small grocery, hiking, biking and is not too far from historic Beaufort SC for the historic sites and shopping and events there. The cabins have screened porches and a/c, linens, microwaves, color tv and some have one, two and three bedroom cabins. I%26#39;ve heard the ones at the lake at Devil%26#39;s Fork are very nice.
