We%26#39;re planning a few days in the last week of March with a 4 yr old and 2 yr old twins. My researched has been based in finding the best indoor swimming selections due to uncertainty of weather and my wee little ones getting too cold quickly. Is this a big concern? In order, i%26#39;ve liked Ocean Reef, Monterey, Compass Cove, Long Bay, and Caravelle. Anyone have any insight to help me finally make a decision? Thanks:-)
Toddlers swim outside last week of March?
As far as the ocean, the National Oceanographic Data Center says the water temp is 55 in March and 62 in early April. Average air temp in March is mid-60s.
We do have to be careful of little kids%26#39; in the cold and heat since they don%26#39;t regulate their body temps so well yet. Remember, when you%26#39;re wet, you feel even colder than the air temp. (I wonder if there%26#39;s a chart for by how much?)

All good choices; I would say Long Bay or Ocean Reef have the best indoor pool complexes. I actually prefer Long Bay %26amp; it is less expensive than Ocean Reef...OR also has construction going on.
Another option is Captain%26#39;s Quarters...they have a beautiful new outdoor kiddies pool with many great features %26amp; a new outdoor pool...both are heated. Their indoor complex is also very nice.
The ocean at that time of year really hasnt warmed up to that ';bathlike'; temp we like! But as far as hanging out on the beach, as long as we dont have a strong wind coming across the water, it shouldnt be bad.
I really like the pool at Monteray Bay. Its like and indoor/outdoor pool area with a lazy river and and indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. One nice thing about the pool complex is that its really tucked in close to the hotel with tall dunes around it...stays nice and cozy! Plenty of folks out there tanning when I walked by yesterday! And as an added plus they have a great breakfast buffet and a evening dessert buffet that is included in the price of the room! Have fun! :)
