Savannah to Myrtle Beach, what don't I want to miss?

We are two couples in our 50%26#39;s flying into Savannah,GA, March 30th, flying back home April 7th. Bringing our golf clubs, (but are not serious golfers). We want to stay and see Charleston, Myrtle Beach and spend some time in Savannah before we fly home. My question is, What don%26#39;t I want to miss in these three towns? We%26#39;re from Oregon and have never been to the East coast. I don%26#39;t want to take my friends to places that are just tourist traps. What wouldn%26#39;t you want to miss seeing or doing in one are all three of these historic towns?

I am a true South Carolinian, and my suggestion is to spend as much time in Charleston as possible. In Myrtle Beach, you%26#39;ll run into the tourist traps you wanted to avoid. Savannah is also a beautiful city. As far as Charleston%26#39;s beaches, the list is endless!!! Isle of Palms is a popular, classy place with nice ocean front rentals, and it is closer to the heart of the city. However, my heart belongs to Seabrook Island. It is a private, resort island 30 minutes outside of Charleston. At Seabrook, it is all about natural beauty. If you%26#39;re looking for SECLUDED beaches, golf courses, and tennis, this is the place to go.

You can rent several condos. Spinnaker and Pelican watch are closest to the beach, and some of my personal favorites. Go to Seabrook, and you%26#39;ll have a truly relaxing time.

I can second JasmineBelle%26#39;s comments about Myrtle Beach. I%26#39;m a native Oregonian, although my grandparents are from SC and most of my family still lives there. To give you a better idea about Myrtle Beach, picture Seaside, Oregon on steroids. I have never seen as many mini-golf courses anywhere as I have in Myrtle Beach!!

Charleston however is simply amazing! Everytime we visit we always find it%26#39;s never long enough. If you want to see a lot of antebellum homes go to Beaufort, SC. It%26#39;s between Charleston and Savannah. There%26#39;s a lot of South Carolina history there and the homes are amazing. Several movies were shot there and it%26#39;s just wonderful.

Savannah is a lovely city. If you%26#39;re pressed for time you can take the trolly and it%26#39;s a narrated tour and allows you to get on and off at varius stops throughout the historic area. I can%26#39;t for the life of me remember the name, but they have an office on the waterfront.

Savannah is nice, however my heart belongs to Charleston and the surrounding area. The beaches are very nice, not at all like we have in Oregon.

Charleston also has many walking tours and narrated trolly tours as well.
