Luxury Accommodations in Charleston

Hi. We currently have reservations at the Wentworth Mansion but I am a little concerned that we may be too far away from the downtown area/activities as we would like to be able to stroll to dinner, have a cocktail, etc. Having said that: we do NOT really want to compromise of the quality of the lodging. Any recommendations for LUXURY lodging that is located more in the hub of all the ';goings on';? OR is Wentworth really close enough that it should not be a problem

The Wentworth Mansion is Beautiful!!! With that said the Mansion is a little farther over than most of the sights, but it is not a bad walk. If you would rather stay in the middle of the city, you might want to try- The Planters Inn, they have just renovated 2 of their rooms to form 1 larger penthouse terrace suite, and it is extremely nice. You could book a room on the conceige level at Charleston Place or the Market Pavilion they both are right in the market too. I know it is hard to narrow down the choices, we have some really nice accommadations in the city. I hope this helps a little.

The Wentworth is probably 8-10 blocks from the hub of the (big quotes) ';action.'; It%26#39;s truly a wonderful place-what a great excuse for a carraige ride or one of the new %26#39;Black Cabs!%26#39;

I%26#39;m staying on the Club Level of the Charleston Place this weekend for the Expo. I%26#39;ll tell ya what I think when I get back. I can%26#39;t wait....free booze all day until 10pm!!!

I think that you will be fine. The walk from the action may be far if the drinks take over. But Wentworth is nice and the fact that it is away from the action, could be an advantage. Enjoy your stay.

Charleston Place was rated one of the 50 best hotels in the World. So that would be a good choice I would imagine.

The Charleston Place was great!! I would definitely recommend staying on the top two floors (club level) because you can practically eat any meal at any time of the day for free. The bar is open until 10PM, so whenever you want a free beverage, its available. For the money, you can%26#39;t get a better location than the CP.
