Monteray Bay

How far is this resort from the attractions? Is there golf and activities nearby? Broadway? Barefoot? How about the pavillion and waves waterpark?

Thank You!~

Monteray Bay

I suggest you click on the ';Myrtle Beach Maps'; key. Monterey Bay is on Ocean Drive at 68th Ave. N (in the north end). More convenient to Barefoot Landing %26amp; the theatres than the other attractions.

Monteray Bay

Monteray Bay is in an area that is known as the ';Avenues';...and I have to somewhat disagree with the above post. It is just as easy- and depending on the traffic backups at the ';bottleneck'; (where Kings Hwy and Bypass 17 merge)- can be alot easier getting to Broadway at the Beach than Barefoot Landing.

With that said the closest activities would be the Carolina Opry and Dixie Stampede (both great shows...the Opry is a must do, great variety and they have a wonderful 60%26#39;s 70%26#39;s show on Fridays called ';Good Vibrations';)

Golf nearby would be The Grande Dunes, Dunes Club, Waterway Hills, Pine Lakes, Myrtlewood (2 course there, Pine Hills and Palmetto), also the Members Club (at Grande Dunes) this is a great course, is private, but you can stop in at The Mariott and see the folks at the concierge desk or stop by the Marina at Grande Dunes concierge desk and they are able to book there. There%26#39;s also a great par 3 called CAne Patch just 3 blocks away from the hotel, great driving range too (and lighted!)

The Pavilion is a straight shot down Ocean Blvd...maybe 5 miles (catch the trolly out front of the hotel for a fun ride downtown...especially at night, that way you wont get stuck in the cruising traffic!) Broadway, Myrtle Waves and Nascar Speedpark are real easy to get to...down Ocean Blvd to 38th Ave N, turn right to Grissom (2nd light), turn left onto Grissom...this will take you right to Broadway (you%26#39;ll be on the Margaritaville/Ripleys Aquarium side), Nascar and Mytle Waves are on the other side just off 21st Ave N. Check out there website for site map

Barefoot is easy to get to too...bar the traffice problem. Go North on Ocean Blvd...this will take you past the Mariott at 82nd Ave N...vere to your right. Merges on Kings Hwy (Business 17) you%26#39;ll pass Carolina Opry/Dixie...go approx 10 to 12 miles and Barefoot will be on the left. This property has 3 entrances.

Have a wonderful time! I think you will really enjoy the Monteray Bay! I love the fact that they include a ';real'; breakfast AND a PM dessert buffet in the price of the room! Tell Benji I said hello!
