I think that the scariest ghost tour is the Haunted Jail Tour given by Bulldog Tours. Now this tour does not walk around in the streets at night and tell ghost stories, it does a tour of the jail only. The jail is super scary and will give you the creeps! If you want to be spooked do this one.

Charleston is magical and, yes, spooky, in the evening. Buy a book of Charleston ghost stories, which you should be able to obtain at the Visitor%26#39;s Bureau. Take a stroll through the historic district at dusk. The breeze through the palmettos and the filtered moonlight on the old churchyards and gardens should be just the recipe for a ghostly experience.
You also might enjoy taking the boat tour to Ft Sumter. Given its history, there should be some ghosts out there.
I have gone on two, both by different companies and both were good. Watch, because one of them must had been affiliated with another company who must own a few restaurants in town because they were blatantly advertising certain restaurants on the tour. Can%26#39;t remember who the tour companies were, but it is really fun to do and something different and would recommend it for a night outing. There are discount coupons in a lot of those tourist magazine things.
